MUZAI Records
MUZAI is an independent record label based in Auckland, New Zealand. There's some debate over whether it's slang usage means 'difficulty' or if it's official translation equates to 'innocent.' In either case, it's a win/win situation - one is apt and the other is irony.
Sometimes in this music business, the small groups that try and shout and wave their hands often don't get noticed when the big kids come in, so we like to think we're gathering up the small ones and a couple of the misfits from that big kid group and do something pro-active. Rather than complain. Or we could just be barking up the wrong tree. But really, we like everyone on the label and reckon they deserve a shot. So we're giving it to them.
