Now (Singles & Demos 1979-1981)

An album comprised of the 1980 demos, the first three singles and the b sides, all recorded by the original Pop Mechanix line up.
The 1980 demos were recorded direct to 2 track reel to reel, no overdubs. It was intended as a demo of the material but some of these takes are the only recorded versions in existence.
The singles were taken from vinyl copies of the releases as the original masters have been lost.

POP MECHANIX was one of the best live bands!!!! We lived in Napier and saw them whenever they came to The Cabana and The Onekawa Hotels. Was such a great night at The Onekawa one night way back then I proposed to my girlfriend...and we are still together. If you reform and come back to The Cabana we'll def get the ol crowd back together (punks, new wavers, skins, boots.) Andrew Snoid brought back a few Pop Mx songs to the Cabana a couple a years ago and that was fun. Come on Pop Mx bring it on!!!
